Podoval UR50 is an intensive-action exfoliating cream containing 50% Lipostabilized Pure Urea, specific for severe callosities, calluses, corns, soft corns, marked skin thickening and thickened nails. Its high concentration of Urea promotes a deep, targeted exfoliation of the thickened layers, facilitating any subsequent mechanical removal. Used regularly, it helps make the skin smoother, softer and more elastic, giving the feet a well-groomed appearance. It is not greasy, is quickly absorbed and offers a refreshing and emollient action.

Podoval UR50 contains 50% Lipostabilized Pure Urea.
Urea is an organic compound that, when used topically, can have a moisturizing or keratolytic effect, depending on the concentration used. The moisturizing effect is obtained at low concentrations and is due to an increase in water-binding sites in the stratum corneum and a reduction in trans-epidermal water loss. The keratoreducing and keratolytic effect is instead obtained at higher concentrations (30-50%), and the mechanism appears to be the alteration, through the breaking of hydrogen bonds, of the quaternary structure of the keratin of the stratum corneum. Urea is thus able to denature and disperse keratin and thin the stratum corneum without damaging the skin barrier.
50 ml tube
Apply 1 or 2 times a day after cleaning the area to be treated. For better and longer-lasting results, combination with Podoval UR10 Moisturizing is recommended.
