Keoderm skin-soothing emulsion is indicated for:

• skin irritation related to allergic phenomena

Keoderm contains Cardiospermum Halicacabum extract, Ganoderma Lucidum, Vitamin F and Vitamin E. It is quickly absorbed, is not greasy and does not contain perfume.

Cardiospermum Halicacabum is a tropical plant with marked anti-inflammatory properties. It is considered a natural alternative to cortisone and acts through a cortisone-like mechanism, modulating the action of phospholipase A2. It contains phytosterols that stimulate the activity of fibroblasts, promoting the repair of tissue damage resulting for example from scratching, while its tannin component inhibits the action of the pro-inflammatory enzyme hyaluronidase, which degrades hyaluronic acid and promotes the release of histamine. Ganoderma Lucidum (or Reishi) is a medicinal mushroom used for centuries in traditional Eastern medicine. It contains polysaccharides, triterpenes and phenols that give it recognized antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Vitamin F (or Omega 3) is a group of essential polyunsaturated fatty acids whose precursor is alpha-linolenic acid. These compounds contribute to the maintenance of the skin barrier, the maturation and differentiation of the stratum corneum, the inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokines and skin regeneration. Vitamin E contributes to the skin repair process and modulates inflammatory mediators. In addition, thanks to its antioxidant function, it counteracts the harmful action of free radicals on the skin, slowing down cell ageing and the appearance of wrinkles and dry skin.
