Aliant Mico Detergent helps prevent and counteract the proliferation of fungi, responsible for skin mycoses, and of bacteria.

Aliant MICO Detergent contains Climbazole, Undecylenic Acid, Tea Tree Oil, Chlorhexidine, Glycyrrhetinic Acid, Vitamin E and Aloe Vera.

Climbazole has antimycotic activity, being active for example against Malassezia Furfur (the microorganism responsible for dandruff) by inhibiting ergosterol, one of the main components of the cell membrane of fungi. Undecylenic Acid is an antimycotic agent, particularly active against the fungus Candida Albicans, inhibiting for example its proliferation, adhesion, mitochondrial activity and hypha formation. Tea Tree Oil is extracted from the Melaleuca alternifolia plant. Thanks to its high content of terpenes, which are highly lipophilic molecules, Tea Tree Oil can damage bacterial cell membranes, leading to the leakage of ions and nucleic acids. It also interferes with the LPS-induced synthesis of pro-inflammatory cytokines and prostaglandins. It can also alter the permeability of the cell and mitochondrial membranes of fungal cells. Chlorhexidine is an antiseptic. It can bind to the phosphoproteins of the bacterial wall and penetrate the cell, leading to the leakage of cytoplasmic material. Vitamin E contributes to the skin repair process and modulates inflammation. In addition, thanks to its antioxidant function, it counteracts the harmful action of free radicals on the skin, slowing down cell ageing and the appearance of wrinkles and dry skin. Glycyrrhetinic Acid is derived from licorice root and can modulate the inflammatory and allergic response. Aloe Vera is well known for its moisturizing, anti-inflammatory and healing properties. It stimulates the growth and activity of macrophages and fibroblasts and can reduce the synthesis of pro-inflammatory substances.

Use the product as is or diluted in water. If used diluted (for example by pouring the product onto a sponge soaked in lukewarm water), rinsing is not essential.
