UMBREX 30 is a cream with 30% Lipostabilized Pure Urea. It is a kerato-reducing treatment for dry and scaly skin and cutaneous extended (hands, elbows, knees, nails, feet) or localized thickenings (follicular keratosis, ingrown hair). Used regularly it provides a neat, smooth and velvety look to the skin, making it moisturized and elastic. Its innovative formula also offers a soothing and refreshing effect. Not greasy, it gets quickly absorbed.
UMBREX 30 contains 30% Pure Lipostabilized Urea.
Urea is an organic compound that when used topically can have moisturizing or keratolytic properties, depending on the concentration of use. The hydrating effect occurs at low concentration owing to the increase in water binding sites in the stratum corneum (SC) and to the reduction of trans-epidermal water loss. The keratoreducing and keratolytic effects occur instead when urea is used at higher concentrations (30-50%). The suggested mechanism seems to be the alteration of the quaternary structure of keratin in the SC through the breakage of hydrogen bonds. Urea is thus able to denature and disperse keratin and reduce the thickness of the SC without damaging the epidermal water barrier.
Apply 1 or 2 times a day on clean and dry skin. Temporary pinching sensation can occur on sensitive skin. For better and long lasting results, we recommend the use in combination with UMBREX 10.
Cosmetic for external use.
